Christmas Giveaway - Sequins and Sand

I can’t believe it, this is the last of Dear Melanoma’s Christmas Giveaways! It has been so much fun sharing with you some of my favourite sun smart brands. It is truly a pleasure to work with these brands and I am inspired by the work these ladies are doing everyday! I look forward to continuing to work with you in the New Year.

Just a reminder about how it works - It is quite simple. In the lead up to Christmas I will be posting a giveaway on Dear Melanoma’s social media, Facebook and Instagram (dear_melanoma), every few days. Each giveaway will be open for 24hrs (short and snappy) and all you have to do is answer the simple question (mentioned in each post) on either Facebook or Instagram and you will have the chance to win one of my favourite things!

Christmas Giveaway - Sundicators Australia

Yesterday I had the pleasure of actually meeting the winner of the SunSoaked giveaway. Jane came and met Kate, the owner of SunSoaked, and I at Indooroopilly where she chose her sun shirt. We had such a lovely chat about all things sun safety and also spoke about her own experience with melanoma.

Christmas Giveaway - Solbari

Thank you everyone for all your love and support yesterday. It has been a tough few days, but like always…  I keep on plodding along. I will update you with a blog post soon, but at the moment, I just need to collect my thoughts and get into the swing of my new treatment that I started last night (I am currently rocking a rash all over my upper body! Yay!)

Congratulations to Bec for winning the Nutmeg Beach voucher. Bec and I actually went to primary school together and we probably took out the top positions for the most pale in our year level! I know the sun shirt will come in handy for pool time with your little family!

Shhh FREE phone app for Dear Melanoma readers!

Of course, like anyone, there were instances where I did get sunburnt, but this was a rarity.

In my teenage years, I would start to have skin checks with a dermatologist. They weren’t yearly, but probably every two years. I had a few moles taken off in my teens, but they were all ok.

You could say that I was very aware of my skin from a young age and we never thought I would be where I am now.
